Walla Walla at Klamath Falls
- The Sweets four-game win streak was snapped last night with a 10-7 loss to Klamath Falls. Offensively, the Sweets swung the bat well but committed four errors.
- Jimmy Litchfield had his longest outing of the summer, throwing 5.2 innings of long relief. Aaron Hoverson lasted just 2.1 innings and gave up seven runs.
- Alex Stanford's two-hit night has moved him into third in league average at .320.
- The loss was not terrible for the Sweets but did not help. Kelowna did their part with a 10-7 victory over Bellingham but the Sweets were unable to gain any ground.
- With 16 games remaining, the Sweets are 3 back of the Bells for the final playoff spot in the East Division.
- Scott Gottschling has now homered in two-straight games and has tied Elliot Stewart for the team-lead with four.
- Andrew Mendenhall extended his road hitting streak to 13 games, two shy of Breland Almadova's 15-gamer.
- In their final 16 games, the Sweets will face Bend six times. Walla Walla has not played Bend yet this summer.
- Walla Walla needs just two wins to tie last year's total of 18. The Sweets were 18-30 in their inaugural season.
- Last night was the first time this month that the Sweets have give up double-digit runs.
